PBS is an approach that recognizes contemporary values in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. It combines established concepts of applied behavior analysis (ABA), which includes therapies based on research and functional behavioral assessment (FBA), with an additional emphasis on person-centered planning. PBS uses positive approaches to understand behavior as a person's way of expressing their wants and preferences, as well as their reaction to their environment.

The "Introduction to Positive Behavior Supports" is an updated version of our previous e-learning training. The DDS training is designed to provide professionals with effective strategies for fostering positive behaviors. Learners will gain valuable insights into evidence-based practices, collaboration techniques, and the practical application of PBS principles. DDS is no longer providing completion certificates for this training.
